Burning Leaves and the effect on people

My blog today will be about the effect of leaves on us people. Some people say that the smell of leaves smell good but to me it smells nasty and it makes me cough. Some places let you set them on the curb and the city get them and then later turn them into mulch, but there is also a option to burn them. Everyone knows that Algore was asking factories and organizations to try to stop burning fossil fuels, well the leaves are giving off smoke and that can harm the environment, but thats not what I'm talking about today. Today I'm going to tell you what the effect of burning leaves is on us humans.
I have asthma but It's not that bad but the smoke the leaves give off makes it hard to breath a little bit. It does that because moisture is trapped in the leaves, therefor they will burn slower thus generating a lot of particulates, fine bits of dust, soot, and other solid matters. Those particulates can go deep into the lung tissue and that will cause coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and long term respiratory problems. Other dangerous things are that leaves give off carbon monoxide which can reduce oxygen in the blood and in your lungs. Also there is another chemical in the leaves smoke that is the same thing that gives smokers cancer. Also a leaf fire could get out of control and start a forest fire that can effect many people and major devistation like you hear in California.
